Who we are
Hi there, friends—welcome to our little corner of the Internet. We’re Josh and Lacey, A few of Firechickens friends. Some folks call us the Ricky and Lucy Ricardo of hot rods, and honestly? We’ll take it. We laugh a lot, we bicker a little, and we do our best to keep the wheels turning—both literally and figuratively.
We’re not experts. We’re not mechanics by trade or YouTube-famous builders. We’re just two regular people who love old cars, learning as we go, and sharing the journey along the way. If you’ve ever looked at a bolt and said, “Well, that doesn’t look right but let’s send it anyway,” then you’re already one of Firechicken’s friends.
Meet the Cars:
Firechicken – our beloved 1976 Pontiac Trans Am. Loud, full of character, and a little rough around the edges—kind of like us.
Bonnie – our classically cool Bonneville. She’s graceful, full of stories, and just the right amount of sassy.

Every week, we pop the hood, make some progress (and sometimes a mess), and share what we learn. Some days we nail it. Other days, we learn why that bolt actually did matter. And in between the turns of the wrench, we bring you a little fun—like our signature series: What Is It Wednesday!™, where Lacey has to figure out, what I hand her.
This isn’t a how-to channel. It’s a let’s-figure-it-out-together kind of space.
So whether you’re a seasoned gearhead, a curious beginner, or just here for the laughs—we’re glad you stopped by.
Come on in. Be a friend.
There’s always room in the garage.
